The BMG Solar CE Series is a direct solar hot water system that directly takes energy from the sun and transforms that energy to heat water – it has no electric motor nor pump. It works on the Thermosiphon Principle, which is a method of passive heat exchange based on natural convection, circulating a fluid without the necessity of a mechanical pump.

The copper collector panels collect and absorb the sun’s rays and convert them into heat. Water passes through the collectors and as it is heated, rises into the storage tank. The hot water entering the storage tank forces the cooler water down the return pipe and into the bottom of the collectors. The cycle continues day in and out with the storage tank being topped up from the water supply when you turn on the hot water taps.
